Job description

Orange Technical College-Eatonville Campus is seeking an evening, part-time welding instructor for our welding apprenticeship program. We are looking for someone who is a self starter, has a strong work ethic, and is able to work in the capacity of lead evening instructor.

Hours: 5-9 PM with 30 minutes of optional planning per evening.

Days: Monday and Wednesday evenings

Compensation: $30 per hour

Location: Orange Technical College-Eatonville Campus, 230 South College Avenue, Eatonville, FL 32751

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read blueprints and understand welding terminology.
  • Ability to use welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, Arc Weld, Stick Weld and MCR.
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and instructions given verbally.
  • Must be able to follow directions from supervisors and coworkers.
  • Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Must have good communication skills with students, coworkers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot problems.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Experience:

 

  • Welding: 2 years (Preferred)
